WOMAN OWNED
Purpose Driven
A New Woman Based Business Led By An Industry Veteran
When you think of pavement repair, the first image that comes to mind is probably the dark colors of asphalt. For the Power Patch team, however, it’s pink. Beginning in January 2019, Eosso Brothers Paving is creating a new infrared patch repair company, with sister Kim Mazzoni spearheading the operation as President of Power Patch Infrared Specialists Inc.

“After working with the Eosso Brothers team for over 20 years, I saw this as a natural progression of the business.” says President Kim Mazzoni. “Years ago we had an infrared company, Infrared Specialists of New Jersey, and our mom Donna Eosso was the owner of that. After she passed away from breast cancer in 2006, that work was set off to the side while we focused on larger paving jobs as Eosso Brothers Paving. Decided last year that starting back up a woman-owned business would be a great tribute to her and could be used as a vehicle to increase breast cancer awareness.”
In honor of their mother Donna Eosso, Eosso Brothers Paving in Farmingdale, NJ, has been an active supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness Month each October, with crews sporting pink vests and using pink cones to show their support for breast cancer awareness. The creation of Power Patch Infrared Specialists takes this a step further.
“The safety vests, cones and trucks are all pink, and it looks great. In honor of our mother, Power Patch Infrared Specialists Inc. is donating $1 for every patch repair completed to support local breast cancer awareness here in
Monmouth and surrounding New Jersey counties. We’re excited to take this positive step in our community and beyond to inspire more people to create a woman-led and values-driven business. I feel you must care about what you do, that’s so important.”

Power Patch Infrared Specialists Inc. currently has seven employees and three pieces of infrared equipment: two truck-mounted infrared units and one smaller tow-behind unit. All are painted pink. Mazzoni says Power Patch Infrared Specialists Inc. will pursue a variety of infrared repair work, but will focus on municipal work, utility cuts, and asphalt repairs for retail and commercial parking lots. Mazzoni says crews are staffed by both men and woman, and Power Patch will offer equal opportunity for woman to enter and grow in a field historically worked exclusively by men.
